A 56-year-old man from Fair Oaks died Saturday night after he was hit by a car while walking against a traffic signal in Roseville.
Police did not immediately identify the man pending notification of his family.
The fatality happened about 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of Douglas Boulevard and Rocky Ridge Drive. The man did not have the right of way when he was struck and no criminal investigation is ongoing, Roseville Police spokesman Officer Jerry Wernli said. The driver, who remained on scene, has been cooperating with police.
The victim died at the crash scene.
