North Highlands man identified as crash victim

A man who died after his car crashed into a utility pole over the weekend was identified as Damon Valentine, 39, of North Highlands, according to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.

Valentine’s vehicle left the roadway about 2:15 a.m. Sunday and hit a pole at Auburn Boulevard and Watt Avenue, Sacramento police said.

He was pronounced dead in a hospital at 2:49 a.m.
