The 21-year-old son of Sacramento Kings vice president Vlade Divac was arrested early Thursday on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
A California Highway Patrol officer stopped a 2015 Tesla at 1:18 a.m. on Capitol Avenue, west of 21st Street, in downtown Sacramento. The driver, identified as Matia Divac, displayed symptoms of alcohol intoxication, according to a CHP news release. CHP officials said preliminary alcohol results are not available.
Matia Divac was arrested without incident and booked into Sacramento County jail.
Chris Clark, a spokesman for the Sacramento Kings, said that because Matia Divac is not an employee of the organization, the Kings had no comment on the arrest.
