Accident causes power outage in North Natomas

About 10,000 Sacramento Municipal Utility District customers were left without power Sunday evening after a car struck a vertical support wire on a utility pole in North Natomas.

SMUD spokesman Chris Capra said power was knocked out to the area at 4:46 p.m. Crews restored the power around 7 p.m. after making repairs near the accident site at San Juan Road and Zenobia Way.
