Update: Suspect in Oak Park shooting reported in custody

Sacramento police report that a suspect has been taken into custody following a shooting in Oak Park that injured one person late Thursday afternoon.

The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life threatening, said police spokesman Sgt. Bryce Heinlein.

The shooting was reported about 4:45 p.m. in the 3200 block of San Diego Way, south of Broadway and west of Stockton Boulevard.

Heinlein said officers detained some individuals and searched the area for evidence.

Police reported they were clearing the scene about 6:15 p.m.
