Victoria, Sacramento

A: A hearing on the status of judgment and sentencing for Clint Gregory has been continued to May 7, according to federal court online records.

Gregory, a Sacramento resident, along with Siavash “Mike” Poursartip and Sara Shirazi, both of Walnut Creek, were indicted by a federal grand jury in July 2010. The three were accused of bribery, bid rigging and fraud in connection with contracts issued by the California Department of Transportation. The department is alleged to have incurred a loss of more than $1.2 million as a result of the fraud.

Gregory, who was a senior transportation engineer supervisor for Caltrans District 10 in Stockton, pleaded guilty in August 2010 and, as part of a plea agreement, agreed to cooperate in the prosecution of the two other defendants. A jury trial for Poursartip and Shirazi, who pleaded not guilty, is set for April 6.
