A petty theft suspect was taken into custody after a pursuit by Sacramento police in which two police cars were hit.
Police spokeswoman Officer Traci Trapani said few details were available immediately following the pursuit, which ended about 10:30 p.m.
She said the female suspect was allegedly involved in a petty theft at a North Sacramento business and reportedly hit one of the employees during the theft.
The suspect reportedly fled in a vehicle and led officers on a chase. During the pursuit, which began in the 2400 block of Del Paso Boulevard, the suspect allegedly rammed a couple of patrol cars, Trapani said.

The pursuit ended at 15th and X streets. The suspect was taken into custody after temporarily barricading herself in the vehicle, police said.
No one was injured in the pursuit.
