A Reno man was arrested on suspicion of pimping during an investigation by El Dorado County law enforcement agencies into prostitution and sex trafficking in the Tahoe Basin.
The South Lake El Dorado Narcotics Enforcement Team has been investigating complaints of prostitution and human trafficking. Investigators have focused on individuals who conduct human trafficking through advertisements for escort services placed on websites, according to an El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office news release
On Thursday, SLEDNET agents, with the assistance of the Sheriff’s Office and the South Lake Tahoe Police Department, arrested 37-year-old Daniel Gordon of Reno on suspicion of pimping, a felony, as well as driving with a suspended or revoked license.
The investigation also resulted in the arrest of three people on suspicion prostitution, a misdemeanor, sheriff’s officials said. The names or those individuals were not released.
