United plane makes U-turn to Sacramento International after bird strike
A United Airlines flight taking off from Sacramento International Airport was forced to turn around and safely land after a bird strike.
The flight involved a Boeing 737 aircraft headed for Denver around 5:30 a.m., said Sacramento Fire Department spokesman-firefighter Roberto Padilla.
Padilla said the department responded to the incident as a precaution. “The plane touched down and it did not appear to be on fire,” said Padilla.
