A disturbing message left in a restroom at Marysville High School has police on alert, but students attended classes as usual Thursday.

The message recently scrawled on a wall in the school restroom appears to be either a warning or a threat, according to Marysville police.

“Don’t Go to School MHS Students on January 28 2016 Pray You Don’t Die,” stated the slightly smeared message.

Police posted an image of the message on the department Facebook page and assured Marysville High parents that officers were investigating.

“The Police Department does not yet know the author of the message, but is actively investigating the circumstances,” police said.

Police urged anyone with information to contact the department at 530-749-3900, through the department’s Facebook Messenger or leave an anonymous tip at 530-749-3911.
