Update: Gas leak contained at Sacramento intersection

A natural gas leak gas leak at 15th and I streets in downtown Sacramento has been contained, the Sacramento Fire Department reports.

Pacific Gas and Electric Co. crews remain on the scene, and two lanes of I Street remain closed, fire department officials said.

The leak was reported shortly after 2 p.m. Buildings in the immediate area of the intersection were evacuated as a precaution.
