FBI offers $5,000 reward in theft of items from agency vehicle in Benicia

The Sacramento FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of any person responsible for stealing several items from an FBI vehicle in Benicia.

The theft occurred early Friday in a residential neighborhood. The vehicle was locked and the alarm on, according to an FBI news release. Taken from the vehicle were a Glock 22 .40 caliber handgun, a Glock 27 .40 caliber handgun, a Springfield 1911a .45 caliber handgun, an FBI badge and credentials, and miscellaneous FBI property.

Anyone with information regarding the stolen items is asked to call the FBI’s Sacramento field office at 916-481-9110.

Along with the FBI, the California Highway Patrol, Solano County Sheriff’s Office, and the Benicia, Fairfield and Vallejo police departments are investigating the theft.
