Detectives found evidence connecting the robbers to a violent crime the next day near Galleria Boulevard. In the evening of Jan. 9, a man got into a car in a parking lot on Roseville Parkway to sell marijuana. The drug buyers pointed a shotgun at him and stabbed the drug seller several times.
Roseville detectives arrested three people in connection with the home-invasion robbery and two others in connection with the stabbing. Police said Conwell was suspected in both crimes.
