A man wanted in connection with a home-invasion robbery and a knife attack in Roseville last month was arrested Tuesday night by Rancho Cordova police.

Roseville police announced that Alex Dorian Conwell, 21, is in Sacramento County Jail awaiting transfer to Placer County Jail. He was being held on a Placer County warrant for robbery and on out-of-state warrants.

Roseville police had sought the public’s help in finding Conwell, and Roseville Crime Stoppers was offering a $500 reward for information leading to his arrest.

The robbery occurred the morning of Jan. 8 in a Roseville home. Robbers entered through a window and held a resident at gunpoint before fleeing with firearms and other property. Police said the house was targeted for the firearms.

Detectives found evidence connecting the robbers to a violent crime the next day near Galleria Boulevard. In the evening of Jan. 9, a man got into a car in a parking lot on Roseville Parkway to sell marijuana. The drug buyers pointed a shotgun at him and stabbed the drug seller several times.

Roseville detectives arrested three people in connection with the home-invasion robbery and two others in connection with the stabbing. Police said Conwell was suspected in both crimes.
