A San Joaquin County man was arrested Thursday in the killing of a man in Walnut Grove last weekend.

Sacramento County homicide detectives said they arrested Macario Villalpando, 29, of Acampo in the murder of Jose Antonio Brambila Llamas.

Sheriff's dispatchers received a call just after 10 p.m. Sunday about a shooting in the 14200 block of Railroad Avenue. Deputies and the Cosumnes and Walnut Grove fire departments responded.

They found Brambila Llamas with a gunshot wound in his abdomen, officials said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives believe that an argument between Brambila Llamas and Villalpando resulted in the shooting.
