Sacramento police search for robber in fake Craigslist sex hook-up
Sacramento police need help in identifying a man who held up another man during a violent encounter that began on Craigslist, according to Sacramento police.
A man responded to a Craigslist ad to meet another man for a sexual encounter on Jan. 11. The two communicated via text message, agreeing to meet near the 700 block of Broadway, police said.
The meet-up ended badly when the man who answered the ad was approached by a rifle-toting individual who assaulted him and took his cellphone. The armed attacker then fled.
Police said the assailant is a black man in his mid-20s, about 5 feet 11 inches tall. He is described as being lean and muscular with short, black hair. He was dressed in a red windbreaker jacket, a white shirt and dark jeans at the time of the incident.
