Suspected burglar greeted by Roseville officers upon leaving house
Roseville police credited an alert neighbor with the arrest of a suspected burglar Thursday afternoon.
A resident of the Highland Reserve area called police upon noticing a man entering a neighbor’s backyard after knocking on the door and receiving no answer.
Officers quietly surrounded the house, according to a Police Department news release. When then man came out carrying property from the house, he saw the officers and ran. The man, identified as Andrey Stupak, 29, of Sacramento, was quickly apprehended with the help of a police dog.
Stupak was arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of stolen property, delaying officers and possession of narcotics.
