A man suspected of involvement in several home burglaries in the Robla and Natomas neighborhoods in the past month has been arrested.

Alonzo Johnson, 22, was booked on suspicion of burglary, auto theft, possession of stolen property, evading police and being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to a Sacramento Police Department news release.

On Sunday, police received information linking Johnson to several burglaries. Later that day, officers spotted Johnson near Bradshaw Road and Lincoln Village Drive behind the wheel of a vehicle stolen in a burglary.

Police said Johnson drove off, then fled from the car as officers gave chase. Officers apprehended him a short time later. Inside the car, they found property taken in area burglaries, police said.

Neighborhood crime detectives served a search warrant at Johnson’s residence, where they found more stolen property, according to the news release.

Police said detectives believe Johnson may be linked to more burglaries.
