Rocklin police are asking the community’s help in identifying a man accused of robbing a local bank Monday.

Officers responded about 6:47 p.m. to a report of a robbery at the US Bank, 2220 Sunset Blvd., a branch inside the Safeway. A man reportedly entered the bank and demanded money from a teller. The teller, feeling threatened, turned over money to the man, who took it and left the bank, according to a Police Department news release.

The man, shown in surveillance photos, is described as 40 to 50 years old, approximately 6 feet tall, with a large build. He was wearing an orange hat, a green long-sleeve shirt or jacket and tan pants.

No weapon was seen, police said.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to call Detective Zack Krempin at 916-624-5400.
