Deputies search for suspect in armed robbery of Cameron Park business
El Dorado County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man who robbed a Cameron Park short-term loan business Tuesday afternoon.
The Sheriff’s Office was notified of a hold-up alarm at Check Into Cash at 3440 Palmer Drive about 3:50 p.m. The teller reported that a man with a gun robbed the business of an undisclosed amount of cash, then left on foot, heading north toward Palmer Drive, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release. No one was injured in the robbery.
The man was described as a white, 20 years old, heavyset, with short red hair and freckles, and wearing a black jacket and a black baseball cap.
Patrol deputies searched the area, and detectives and crime scene investigators are conducting an investigation.
