A felon with piercing gray-blue eyes from Stockton, whose mugshot upon arrest was an Internet sensation, is no longer an inmate.
Various media sites say that Jeremy Meeks, who was labeled on the Web as “guilty of being good-looking,” is no longer incarcerated. The Hollywood Life website said he was released on Tuesday from prison.
Meeks, 32, was arrested in June 2014 on gun charges in a law enforcement sweep after an increase of shootings and robberies in the city’s Weston Ranch area.
Not long after the Police Department posted his mugshot, complete with neck tattoos, online postings swooned over the “hottie in handcuffs.” The mugshot was shared more than 100,000 times on the Internet.

On his Instagram account, Meeks recently contemplated his future: “I want to thank my family and everybody for all your love, support and prayers. I’m overwhelmed and grateful for what lies ahead. I’m ready.”
He will embark on a modeling career, represented by White Cross Management in Los Angeles. The White Cross website lists him as 6 feet 1 inch tall with a shoe size of 11.
“We have a huge plans for him,” his agent Jim Jordan told Hollywood Life. “A lot is about to happen. We don’t want to announce it at the moment, but we have some incredible stuff coming that will blow everyone away.”
One Instagram poster, pattycakesz1, echoed the sentiments of others when she wrote: “You are gorgeous. Glad you’re able to make it home. So many don’t get that opportunity. Hope you make the best of your popularity and don’t find yourself going back again.”
