Two men shot in south Sacramento

Two men were shot Saturday night in south Sacramento, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department reports.

At 7:30 p.m., the Sheriff’s Department received several calls regarding gunshots being fired in the 8000 block of Blackhawk Drive. Deputies and Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District personnel responded. The victims, between age 20 and 22, were found there, said Sgt. Tony Turnbull.

One sustained a wound to his face, the other a wound to the lower body, Turnbull said. Both were taken to a local hospital and are in stable condition, he said.

The victims and shooter have not been identified. It is unknown if the shooter was on foot or in a vehicle, Turnbull said.
