A: No arrests have been reported in the Dec. 30, 2006, death of Anthony Fuller, who was shot during a fight that began inside the liquor store and deli on Hillsdale Boulevard.
According to stories in The Sacramento Bee, Fuller, 26, may have been trying to avoid a confrontation when he ducked into the store about 6:30 p.m. Sheriff’s officials said Fuller, dressed in red, was walking with his girlfriend. He went into the store when he saw a group of men dressed in blue and may have suspected they were gang members.

A few minutes later, a fistfight broke out between Fuller and another man inside the store and continued into the parking lot, where Fuller was shot several times. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died about two hours later.
Sacramento County sheriff’s officials said at the time that it was unclear whether Fuller and the other man knew each other, or what sparked the fight. The shooter was described as a man in his 20s, heavyset, dressed in a blue sweat shirt and wearing sunglasses.
