Apparent homicide victim found in North Sacramento

The body of an apparent homicide victim was discovered Sunday morning in a north Sacramento house during a routine police visit about a welfare check, according to a Sacramento Police Department news release.

The release said the unidentified female victim “had sustained traumatic injuries” and did not appear to have died from natural causes. She was found on the 3700 block of Clay Street in the Del Paso Heights neighborhood.

No arrests have been made in the case, said Sacramento police officer Matthew McPhail. Police have not determined a motive in the apparent homicide, the release said.
