Rocklin police investigate reports of sexual battery of juvenile girls

Rocklin police are investigating two reports of sexual battery involving a man or men accosting and touching juvenile girls in recent days.

The latest incident occurred Friday on a trail near Park Drive and Farrier Road when a man approached two female friends from behind and touched one of the girls inappropriately, police said.

The incident followed a similar report Thursday night involving a male who approached and inappropriately touched a girl near Twin Oaks Park. The victim resisted the man and fled.

The assailant on Thursday was described as a man in his early 20s, of unidentified race, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 130 pounds. The suspect in the second event was described as a white or Latino male, about 30 to 40 years old and 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build.

Rocklin police ask anyone with information regarding either case or similar cases to call the department at 916-625-5400.
