Citrus Heights police have released a composite sketch of a man sought in a sex offense investigation.

Since January, police say, they have responded to several reports from women regarding a suspicious man seen at their apartment complexes. The man has approached women as they were coming from or going to their apartments and was seen peering into apartments. On one occasion, a woman was sexually assaulted, according to a Police Department news release.

The man is described as African American, 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet, 11 inches to 6 feet, 2 inches tall, dark-skinned, clean shaven, with a slender build. In most cases, he has worn a hooded sweatshirt with the hood over his head.

Police urge residents to be vigilant and to call police if they see someone matching the description.

Anyone with information pertaining to the investigation is asked to call Detective Deborah Bayer at 916-727-5584. To report a crime or suspicious incidents, call the Citrus Heights Police Department at 916-727-5500, or dial 911 in an emergency.
