Rocklin police seek vehicle that struck boys walking to school

Rocklin police would like to talk to anyone who witnessed a hit-and-run collision Tuesday morning in which two brothers were injured as they were walking to school.

Patrol officers responded about 6:30 a.m. to Stanford Ranch Road and Sunset Boulevard for a collision involving a vehicle and pedestrians. Officers found two brothers, both juveniles, who had suffered minor injuries. They were on their way to school and were in the crosswalk when they were struck by a vehicle, according to a Police Department news release.

The driver of the vehicle that hit the boys left before officers arrived. Police said witnesses who spoke with officers were unable to provide a description of the vehicle.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or can help identify the vehicle involved is asked to call the Rocklin Police Department at 916-625-5400, and select option No. 1.
