A: Troy R. Ewing’s next court date, for a trial readiness conference, is April 5, and a trial is set for April 12, according to Sacramento Superior Court records that are available online.

No account of his arrest was found in The Sacramento Bee’s archives, but inmate information available online shows that Ewing, 38, was booked into Sacramento County Jail in June 2014.

He remains in custody, with bail set at $1.2 million. Ewing is charged with eight counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child younger than 14, and six counts of engaging in sex acts with a child 10 or younger.
