Man robbed at East Sacramento mailbox at knife point
A man dropping a letter in an East Sacramento mailbox Tuesday morning was robbed of his mountain bike and backpack at knife point.
The man was mailing a letter near Alhambra Boulevard and L Street about 5:15 a.m. when two men ran across the street and robbed him. One of the robbers lunged at him with a knife, according to Sacramento police.
One thief ran southbound on Alhambra Boulevard, while the other rode away on the victim’s mountain bike with his backpack.
Both robbers were in their 20s and of average build. One was short, while the other was about 6 feet tall, police said.
