A woman in her 30s was killed in a fatal collision Thursday night on Blue Oaks Boulevard in Roseville.
Dee Dee Gunther, spokeswoman for the Roseville Police Department, said the crash occurred about 7:27 p.m. between Washington Boulevard and Packard Drive. She said it appeared the driver of a Ford Mustang westbound on Blue Oaks Boulevard turned the car into the path of a Ford 150 pickup that was also westbound and was struck broadside by the pickup.
The driver of the Mustang was declared dead at the scene. Her name was not released.
Four people were in the pickup. A child about 8 years old, accompanied by a parent, was taken by ambulance to the pediatric trauma center at UC Davis Medical Center, according to a Police Department news release. The other two occupants of the pickup were taken by ambulance to a local emergency room. There were no details about their condition.
