Fire chars Foothill Farms fourplex overnight
A late night fire burned a housing unit in a fourplex along Walerga Road in Foothill Farms on Tuesday.
Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District crews were called to the blaze in the 5700 block of Walerga Road about 11 p.m. Tuesday where flames were coming from an upstairs unit of the fourplex.

Firefighters searched the unit where the fire was burning, and the other dwellings were checked to make sure they were unoccupied.
The apartment where the fire began sustained significant damage, according to a Metro Fire press release. One other apartment sustained minor damage. Three adults and one child were displaced by the blaze.
Damage is estimated at $75,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
