A woman whose body was found on a Nevada County roadway Monday morning has been identified by sheriff's officials as 46-year-old Felicia Romaine Spruell-Jones of Reno.
Her death has been ruled a homicide and is being investigated by the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Reno Police Department, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.
Spruell-Jones’ body was found about 6:20 a.m. Monday in the roadway underneath Interstate 80 at Farad Road. Based on observations at the scene, it was determined that the death was suspicious, sheriff’s officials said, and an investigation was launched in conjunction with the California Department of Justice’s Bureau of Forensic Services.
