Q: What is happening with the Antelope case where a man is accused of killing his mother? I believe this happened in May.
A: John David Matta, 54, remains in Sacramento County Jail, accused of murder in the death of his 75-year-old mother, Janet M. Matta.

According to stories in The Sacramento Bee, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department’s communications center received a call from a home in the 8000 block of Silk Tree Way in Antelope about 4:45 p.m. May 18. A man on the other end of the line said he had had “an altercation” with his mother, then the dispatchers were disconnected.
Deputies responded to the home and found Janet Matta dead inside.
