Man booked in death of woman in Del Paso Heights

A man has been arrested in connection with the killing of a woman last month in Del Paso Heights.

Willie Roberson, 41, was charged with suspicion of homicide in the death of a woman March 20 at a residence in the 3700 block of Clay Street. The dead woman was identified by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office as 49-year-old Shelly Allen.

Officers responded to the home at 10 a.m. March 20 to find the woman dead. She had been struck in the head, Sacramento police said.

Roberson, who has been in Sacramento County jail since March 21 on charges unrelated to the woman’s death, knew the woman, police said.

Detectives are working to determine a motive for the slaying, police said.
