A third suspect has been arrested in the Jan. 30 slaying of an Amador County man outside a South Lake Tahoe motel.
South Lake Tahoe police announced that 22-year-old Domenic Seanlee Randolph was taken into custody near Houston, Texas, on Tuesday morning by investigators with the South Lake Tahoe Police Department and the El Dorado County District Attorney’s Office. They were assisted by the United States Marshal’s Service, the Houston and Humble, Texas, police departments and the Harris County Sheriff’s Department. Randolph was sought in the shooting death of 40-year-old Dennis Wright, an Amador County resident, in the parking lot of the Beverly Lodge. He was booked into the Harris County Jail in Houston on suspicion of murder.
Two other men were arrested in February. Tristan Demond Batten, 18, was taken into custody in Vallejo and Harvest Cyle Davidson, 20, in Sacramento. Both are charged with murder in the case.
Wright and his girlfriend, Kendra Ghiorso of Amador County, drove to South Lake Tahoe about 7:45 p.m. Jan. 30 to sell 100 pounds of marijuana to prospective buyers, according to police. During the transaction, two men tried to rob Wright and Ghiorso at gunpoint of the cash involved in the drug deal, police said.

The robbers struggled with Wright and Ghiorso in the motel parking lot, and one or both of the robbers fired a gun, according to police. Wright was struck multiple times and died after being taken to Barton Memorial Hospital.
Police said the investigation is continuing and additional arrests are anticipated. They identified one of the outstanding suspects as Dion Jermaine Randolph Vaccoro, 26, of Vallejo. Police said they are identifying not only the individuals involved in the homicide, but also those suspected of assisting and harboring them. For that reason, officials said, they are withholding additional information to preserve the integrity of the investigation.
The murder weapon has not been recovered, and police said the outstanding suspects are considered armed and dangerous.
