Fairfield detectives arrest man on weapons charges
Fairfield police arrested a man they say had a stolen handgun during a stop of his vehicle.
Jayro Magana, 19, of Fairfield was stopped by detectives from the Special Operations Team at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the 1700 block of North Texas Street.
The detectives found a loaded handgun tucked away in the inside pocket of Magana’s jacket, according to a Fairfield police news release. The handgun was reported stolen in Arizona.
Magana was booked into the Solano County jail on suspicion of possessing a concealed loaded firearm in a vehicle and possession of a stolen weapon.
