Man sought in attempted robbery of Florin Road bank
Sacramento police are asking the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of trying to rob a Florin Road bank Wednesday morning.
Officers responded about 10:49 a.m. to a report of a robbery in progress in the 900 block of Florin Road. A man entered a bank and demanded money from an employee before fleeing, according to a Police Department news release. No weapons were seen during the incident.
Police released a surveillance photo of the man, who is described as white and in his 50s. He was wearing a black baseball cap, black polo shirt and a gray suit jacket.
Anyone with information regarding the robbery attempt is asked to call the Sacramento Police Department’s dispatch center at 916-264-5471 or Crime Alert at 916-443-4357, or submit an anonymous tip using the free “P3 Tips” smartphone app. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
