Police investigate report of sexual assaults at Davis library

Davis police are investigating a report by a teenage boy that he was sexually assaulted in the restroom of the Yolo County Library’s Davis branch.

The victim reported that he was sexually assaulted at the library at 315 E. 14th St. by a man several times over a period of several weeks, according to a Police Department news release. Police said the last contact between the two occurred several weeks ago.

Detectives have conducted surveillance operations at the library in an attempt to identify the alleged assailant. Although detectives are pursuing leads in the case, police said the individual has not been identified. They said they have received no information to indicate that there are additional victims.

The man is described as white, tall with a slender or medium build, with short curly gray hair, gray facial hair and carrying a blue shoulder bag.
