Cameron Park course heavily vandalized under cover of darkness
Sheriff’s deputies have released photos of a man suspected of causing an estimated $12,000 in vandalism at an El Dorado County golf course.
The man went onto the grounds of the Bass Lake Golf Course in the Cameron Park area about 4 a.m. Thursday. Once there, deputies believe he began damaging equipment and other items.
The man is suspected of puncturing or slashing tires on golf carts, lawn mowers, an employee’s vehicle and the course owner’s vehicle. Blood was found next to one of the ruined tires.
Wires on an irrigation control panel were cut and a wrought iron fence was damaged. Deputies need help in identifying the man whose image was captured on security photographs.
