Man fatally struck on Roseville Road identified

The Sacramento County coroner has identified a man recently struck and killed by a vehicle in Sacramento as Richard Sullivan, 44.

Sullivan died Thursday following a 5:55 a.m. accident on Roseville Road near Connie Drive, according to the Coroner’s Office.

Sacramento police said Thursday that a man walking on Roseville Road was struck by a vehicle, closing Roseville Road between Connie and Longview drives.

The vehicle had been traveling northbound on Roseville Road when the man walked onto the roadway, according to police. Driver impairment did not appear to be a factor in the accident, the police said.
