Despite an uncooperative man who ran away, Roseville police were able to eventually book five people for suspicion of drug possession in an eventful early Tuesday morning traffic stop.
The man who fled from police was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over for a traffic stop around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday on Industrial Avenue near the Santucci Justice Center courthouse.
Police report that all five people in the car were uncooperative. One passenger appeared to be trying to hide something, police said.
As officers tried to detain him, a short struggle began, ending with the passenger bolting westbound across Industrial Avenue and scampering across railroad tracks. Roseville police were aided in a search for the wanted man by Placer sheriff’s deputies and Rocklin and Citrus Heights police officers.
