Alleged burglar found showering at scene of Robla break-in
A man accused of breaking into an apartment in Sacramento’s Robla area took time to clean himself up before he was discovered.
Police responded about 3:53 p.m. Thursday to a report of a burglary in progress in the 4200 block of Norwood Avenue. A woman reported that she had entered her mother’s apartment and found a stranger taking a shower, according to the Police Department’s daily activity log.
Officers detained 35-year-old Travis Kevie, who was described as a transient.
During a search, Kevie was found to be in possession of narcotics, police said.
He was booked into Sacramento County jail on suspicion of burglary and narcotics-related offenses as well as a probation violation.
