Collision with Sacramento police car results in DUI arrest
A motorist involved in a collision with a Sacramento Police Department patrol car was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Officers were patrolling the area of Truxel and San Juan roads in the Natomas area about 4:35 p.m. Sunday when the collision occurred, causing minor injuries to some of the people involved, according to a Police Department news release.
Additional officers responded to investigate the incident.
The driver of the other vehicle, identified by police as 26-year-old David Herold of Antelope, was evaluated for impairment and arrested.
Police said the collision remains under investigation.
