A Woodland woman died from injuries she suffered after her Toyota Corolla drifted into the path of a flatbed truck in rural Woodland on Friday afternoon.
The head-on collision happened about 5 p.m. on County Road 102, near County Road 25, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP said the woman’s Toyota Corolla was northbound on 102 when it drifted into the path of a southbound flatbed truck. The driver of the flatbed truck swerved in an effort to avoid the car, but the two vehicles collided.
The driver of the Corolla was taken to the UC Davis Medical Center, where she later died, according to the CHP. Coroner’s records identify her as Fu Huang, 70, of Woodland. Three children, ages 1 to 7, who were in the car suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash, and the collision remains under investigation.
