Four people were cited for street racing Monday night along Dillard Road.
California Highway Patrol officers were told late Monday night that what appeared to be street racing was taking place on Dillard Road east of Highway 99. CHP units gathered at a fire station in the area as a CHP aircraft flew to the site of the suspected road racing.
The air crew saw two cars that had just run a race at more than an estimated 100 mph, according to a CHP press release. Two other cars were racing.
Officers in the patrol cars detained a dozen people in cars on Dillard Road, west of Riley Road, near Wilton. All parties complied with officers and remained at the scene.
