Sacramento Kings point guard Darren Collison was arrested Monday in Placer County on suspicion of domestic violence.
Placer County sheriff’s deputies went to a home on Oakbrooke Court in Granite Bay about 1 a.m. Monday after a woman reported being assaulted there, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.
Deputies say they found the woman had visible injuries and arrested Collison, 29. He was booked into Placer County Jail on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury, a felony, as well as for two misdemeanor warrants, totaling $7,500, for driving on a suspended license.
Sheriff’s officials said Collison was released from jail at 9 a.m. Monday.

The name of of the victim was not released.
The Kings issued a statement Tuesday saying, “We’ve been made aware of the situation. The Sacramento Kings condemn violence of any kind. We are gathering additional information, and once all facts are known we will take appropriate steps.”
