Three juvenile boys were arrested Wednesday morning, accused of vandalizing Placer Elementary School in Loomis over the holiday weekend, the Placer County Sheriff’s Office reports.
The boys, all age 14, caused more than $10,000 in damages, including the destruction of fences, walls and a vending machine, according to a sheriff’s news release. They also removed electronics from classrooms, but those items were later found on campus, the release said.
Detectives arrested the boys on suspicion of extensive vandalism, arson and burglary. They are being booked at the Placer County Juvenile Hall in Auburn.
