Man found dead on northbound Highway 99 in Sacramento
An unidentified man was found dead on Highway 99 north of Fruitridge Road late Saturday in Sacramento, according to a news release issued by the California Highway Patrol.
At 10:34 p.m., a CHP officer spotted the man lying in the right lane on the northbound side of the highway. The driver of a car parked on the shoulder north of the body, Brandi Savatay, told the officer that his car and two other vehicles had struck the man while he was lying in the road, the release stated.
