Woman in I-5 Woodland crash identified

The Yolo County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim of a car crash off Interstate 5 as Tracey Clark.

Clark, 51, of Scotia was killed Saturday when her 2014 Honda Civic flipped into an embankment in Woodland, said Matt Davis, the public information officer for the Sheriff’s Office. The area is known as the Yolo Bypass.

The California Highway Patrol responded at 1:15 p.m. after reports that a car had run off the roadway on northbound I-5, according to a CHP news release.

A 3-year-old child was also in the vehicle, but her car seat prevented serious injury, according to the release.

The Woodland branch of the CHP said that it is still gathering information from witnesses to determine the cause of the crash.
