Gold River passenger, 19, dies from injuries, is identified

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office has identified a second 19-year-old passenger who died in a vehicle collision Friday in Fair Oaks.

Andrew Sisterson of Gold River died late Tuesday after suffering major injuries in the crash at Madison and Kenneth avenues. The impact occurred shortly after 9 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

Three 19-year-old men were traveling in a 2016 Kia Forte east on Madison Avenue, the CHP said. As they turned left onto Kenneth Avenue, a westbound 2003 Ford F-250 pickup struck their vehicle.

Nathan Bruns of Rancho Cordova also was killed, according to the Coroner’s Office.

The CHP said the Kia’s driver suffered minor injuries.

The pickup’s 35-year-old driver was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, according to the CHP. The CHP will not press charges against the driver of the pickup.

The names of the drivers have not been released.
