Redding motorist arrest for DUI
The Redding Police Department arrested a 58-year-old woman after she crashed her vehicle into a tree on Wednesday night.
Patricia Lorraine Kaplan, of Redding, was driving south on Benton Drive when her vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree at Benton Drive and River Park Drive, according to a department news.
Kaplan suffered chest and neck injuries, according to the release.
Kaplan was evaluated at the hospital and was determined to be driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol at the time of the collision, according to the release. She was arrested for DUI and released for medical treatment.
The Redding Police Department will submit the case to the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
